Advanced fixes for HP ePrint not printing

Many situations can occur where even if you follow the solutions mentioned above, you might not be able to get ePrint to work. In this situation, you can use the following remedies.

Review ePrint requirements

You must ensure that Web Services is enabled and your email address meets ePrint requirements. You should also check if the link is supported by HP ePrint.

  • Tap the HP ePrint icon, then "Settings".

  • Follow the instructions to enable web service.

  • Now enter the printer's email address in the "To" text box. Print jobs often fail due to a large number of email addresses.

  • Enter the text in the 'Title' field. If you leave this field blank, the ePrint job will fail.

  • Now link no more than 10 files. The total email size cannot exceed 10 MB.

  • Make sure the image is in BMP, PNG, JPG, GIF or TIF format. The resolution must be at least 100 pixels. The file must be Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, TXT, HTML, PDF or Excel. Encrypted or digitally signed files are not supported.

  • Make sure the email address has the necessary permissions to access the printer.

If you are using an HP printer without a touchscreen, you will need to print a self-diagnosis page to obtain the printer's IP address. Then launch the Embedded Web Server by typing it into your browser's address bar. This can be opened by clicking on the 'Web Services' tab.

Local network testing of HP printers

Another good HP ePrint solution is to check the printer's local network. Solve network connection problems.

  • Make sure the HP printer light is on.

  • Printers with a wireless signal should have a blue light. It should not blink.

  • If you have wireless setup at the printer control panel, use the wizard.

  • Restart the router. Check the band configuration of the router. 2.4 GHz and broadcast must be enabled. If your router has published a network SSID, connect the printer to the SSID of the 2.4 GHz band.

  • Make sure the HP printer is not connected to the system due to system security software.

  • HP printers are easily over DHCP assigned IP addresses. So use a valid IP address.

Reset your router, printer, and system.

  • Turn off the printer.

  • Now unplug the Ethernet or USB cable from the printer. This can interfere with the printer's ability to connect to a wireless network.

  • Now remove the power cord from the router. Then wait about 20 seconds and plug the cord back in.

  • Now you have to wait for a while until the LED shows the connection.

  • Now restart your computer and open the printer.
